Edie and Chloe met in preschool when they were three years old. They were just starting to get to know one another and enjoying some play dates when Chloe's family moved to Rome, Italy for just under a year. Edie really missed Chloe and we all kept in touch as best we could while they were away. When Chloe's family moved back, Edie and Chloe picked up where they left off and the rest .... is history.
They have been the best of friends since then, in school and out. They were in the same classes in Kindergarten and 1st grade, but separated, upon the recommendation of their 1st grade teacher, in 2nd grade. I will never forgot Edie on the phone with Chloe when they got their 2nd grade class lists and realized they would be in different classes - they were in tears, trying to comfort one another in their despair (!). Nina and I promised them that their friendship would survive different classrooms - and of course it has.
