Saying Goodbye to Someone Special

Gemma completed her last visit with her physical therapist. K. first visited with us for an evaluation in December 2008, and Gemma qualified for weekly, then bi-weekly, physical therapy services over the past year. K. helped us work with Gemma to strengthen the muscles she needed to start standing and then to finally begin walking back in early June. Gemma has come so far with her gross motor skills, and I really appreciated the help and words of support from K. Gemma loves K. and has asked me every day to look at these photos from our last visit. It's sad to think we won't see her any more, and hear all the silly songs she sang with Gemma as she bounced her on this ball.
